Property description

Tenure: Freehold

Charming three / four bed Victorian Freehold terrace with a private garden located on the borders of the St Johns, Lewisham and the Brockley conservation area, a mere 9 minute walk to Hilly Fields.

This wonderful family home was stripped back in 2020 and and has undergone a renovation internally with almost everything being brand new.

Once inside the best of contemporary fixtures and fittings combined with an array of period features and charm deliver the perfect family home. A generous reception room sits to the left of the entrance hall and in here you will find high ceilings, a bay window that floods the room with natural light and brand new shutters.

Adjacent is a third bedroom (currently being used as an office) along with a beautiful bathroom featuring underfloor heating, a freestanding tub and separate shower.

On the lower ground floor is a modern open-plan kitchen/diner which spans the width of the property, along with underfloor heating, integrated appliances and a useful pantry. Additionally there is a second reception room/fourth bedroom with fireplace, bay window and brand new shutters.

There is also a second access point to this floor via a front door on the lower ground level.

Access is offered from the kitchen to the charming low maintenance rear garden. On the top floor are two large double bedrooms with original wood flooring and a handy WC.

Internally this home is in immaculate condition and the versatile living space can be used in many ways to suit the home-owner.

Lewisham station is a 5-minute walk away, where there are fast and frequent services into Cannon St (13-minutes) and London Bridge (8-minutes). For anyone needing to get to Canary Wharf you can take the DLR from Lewisham which is a 5-minute walk away. You can also pick up the London Overground from New Cross station for easy access to east and north London.

Here’s what the sellers say.

We absolutely love this house and are sad to be leaving it. It's such a lovely neighbourhood, the neighbours are wonderful and have become great friends, we have street parties and socials as well as a whatsapp group for the street. We love that the house looks down the street and has the prime position, this coupled with the railway at the bottom of the garden makes the house incredibly secure. I've always felt very safe here. We don't have a favourite room, we love them all! The house is perfect for working from home, entertaining, and taking luxurious long soaks in the massive freestanding bath tub. We also really love the colourful cottage garden we've created out back. It's a little haven.
