What the sellers say.

Area

The benefit of living in a quiet cul de sac so close to the station can’t be over emphasised. With a c.20 min commute into London Bridge and just under half an hour to Charing Cross, we love being so close to Elmstead Woods station. Chislehurst has a quaint village feel, with spacious, leafy streets, yet so close to London.

There are several walking-trails close-by that include parks, woods and farmland. The house is situated between two golf courses: Chislehurst and Sundridge, with various other sport facilities close by as well. The cul de sac is friendly – with a great sense of community. Families usually stay for a long time given the tranquil atmosphere, and the school catchment area.

The high street is a good walk away – we like to stroll there for early breakfasts or late brunches, especially in the summer months. There are various bespoke shops we enjoy frequenting. The Glade’s shopping centre is also only a short drive away with all the main-street shops.

House

The house has a very friendly and inviting atmosphere – with a lot of storage space including a garage and large loft.

Similarly, the kitchen also has ample storage space, and is equipped with great built-in appliances. A separate utility room is well appreciated and handy, with a close seamless flow from the kitchen.

One of the highlights is the sauna, where one can instantly relax after a hard week in the city.  And the wet room is a very practical addition – offering an extra shower. Solar power is also very handy in supplying warm water.

Upstairs is conveniently spaced – we find it especially well portioned for a baby room - next to the main bedroom. The third room is a good-sized guest room, where we have had many guests over. Views out of all rooms are very pleasant and lovely, giving you a sense of calm and peace.

Living area

The living room / dining room area can fit in quite a crowd. Summer days when the double doors are open, the area doubles out onto the outside patio area. We use an outside heater in the winter months to still facilitate outside gatherings. Inside becomes very cosy during the colder months, with the wood burner heating the whole area instantly. The room gets lovely late morning/afternoon sun.

Garden

The garden is unique – with many terraces leading up to the top. We have enjoyed planting various herbs & vegetables and cooking with the garden produce. We are also able to enjoy the various fruit trees (apple, quince, plumb and apricot etc) and berry bushes. While not kid friendly, our baby enjoys climbing up the stairs and exploring all the different areas. And there is ample of space on the patio for a sandpit etc. The garden is structured for entertaining – with the top patio served with electricity on both sides.

Bonar Place is a house where a lot of good memories are and have been made - and we will miss it.
